My Love of Fitness and Health was not always so. I have struggled with my

weight  most of my life.  I was always on a constant pendulum of gaining

weight or losing it, NEVER maintaining it. However, once my son was born in

2003, I decided to get off that pendulum and rewrite my fat gain/loss journey.

I hired the most inspirational, motivated, and encouraging mentor for my personal trainer. I was lucky enough to find her and even luckier to have her convince me to become a Personal Trainer. What better way to motivate, teach, and inspire others on their way to  health, than by already doing it yourself? Truth be told, it was not always easy, fun, or  provided instant gratification. I learned that: How much you put into getting healthy  is what you will get out of it. Yes, I fell off the  healthy  fit wagon  and sometimes still do. Even after 10 years of being a personal trainer I have to commit everyday to working out and eating healthy.‚Äč

Since 2006, I have been a Certified Personal Trainer from Ace Fitness. Ace is a leader in the world of fitness, and they continue to be on the forefront of nutrition, education, and fitness. I have maintained my certificate by continuing my education and retesting through ACE every two years. In the last 8 years, I have increased my knowledge in the following subjects:

Weight Control and Eating Disorders, Diet Exercise and Fitness Expert Level
Alternative and Integrated Nutrition, Cardiovascular Nutrition and Fitness,
Childhood and Adolescent Nutrition, Nutrition for Young Athletes,
ACE Nutrition and Weight Management Specialist AND Zumba Certified.


My philosophy about working out and overall great health is that it should be fun, educational, and leave the client independent. My clients, once they have met their goals, should be able to continue their growth and exercise program with the knowledge that I have taught them. Well-being encompasses more than just a diet plan or weight loss. I strive to include all functions of good health, from eating right, working out, maintaining motivation and focusing on the mind. Anyone can be fit and create a better life for themselves. I encourage my clients to brave this journey and explore how good it feels to be healthy.
